Good, please help us wage peace

DONATE NOW »
Dear Good,

Waging peace means pursuing an end to war … but it also means helping individuals gain the right to voice their views, choose their leaders, feed their families, and raise healthy children.

For more than 30 years, with the help of generous donors like you, The Carter Center has waged peace. In the most conflict-stricken and at-risk communities across the world, we impart the tools and knowledge necessary for people to sustain long-term change.

When you partner with us, you help fill a critical gap in peacebuilding efforts. The Carter Center does not duplicate the work of other charitable organizations, and we only go where we are invited. The people we serve are ready to embrace change, and they rely on us to teach them how.

Please act now to make peace a reality for individuals who have nowhere else to turn.

MAKE A GIFT NOW »

Here are ways your gift will have a long-term impact on the world.
#1 Your support will help build democracy.
During the Carter Center's 99th election observation, a Tunisian woman casts her first vote without fear of intimidation.

A fair and honest election is the first step to building a democratic government, one that will protect the well-being of its people. To date, The Carter Center has observed 101 elections in 39 countries.

#2 Your support will help champion human rights.
Carter Center reports on the Congolese mining sector are giving government and civil society groups evidence to combat the exploitation of adults and children.

The Carter Center champions human rights by helping governments shape policy, intervening on behalf of activists, and empowering private individuals to access public information. Our latest initiative, Mobilizing Action for Women and Girls, fosters collaboration among faith leaders, secular influencers, and human rights activists — identifying successful strategies and setting them in motion.

#3 Your support will help end war.
A brokered ceasefire, following decades of conflict, has allowed Liberia to return to a rule of law and resume basic human services.

Parties in conflict come to The Carter Center for mediation when traditional methods of dispute resolution have failed. Following decades of work across the world, we are focused today on Syria, Sudan and South Sudan, Liberia, Israel and Palestine, and globally counteracting ISIS.
As we wage peace in all corners of the world, we rely on donors like you to continue our work. Please take a moment today to make a gift — one that will have a lasting impact. On behalf of everyone at The Carter Center, thank you for making this a better world.

Sincerely,

Jimmy Carter
