Good, We Will Match Your Gift to End Blindness

Dear Good,

Trachoma is the world's leading cause of infectious blindness. This bacterial disease causes terrible, ongoing pain, stigma, and disability — reinforcing cycles of poverty and hindering long-term development.

Of the 232 million people at risk for trachoma, most are children; and, women are almost twice as likely as men to develop the advanced stage of trachoma that causes blindness.

Your support today can help end blinding trachoma in the countries of Mali and Niger. The Conrad N. Hilton Foundation will match all gifts, up to $6.44 million, that are designated to help eliminate trachoma in these two countries. Our goal is total elimination by the year 2017.

With this special match: $25 becomes $50, $50 becomes $100, $100 becomes $200, and so on. Doubling your gift means TWICE the impact!

Using the proven and low-cost strategy of S.A.F.E. — Surgery, Antibiotics, Facial cleanliness, and Environmental improvement, we can put an end to the excruciating pain and loss of vision caused by trachoma.

Your matched gift will mean:

Twice the SURGERIES

Twice the ANTIBIOTICS

Twice the EDUCATION

Twice the LATRINES

Please help the people who are at risk in Mali and Niger with your gift now. Don’t miss this special opportunity to save someone from blindness and change their life forever.

With sincere gratitude,

Jimmy Carter
In FY2012-13, 92.4% of our spending went directly to those in need.
