Learn more about our updated Terms of Service

BrendaModica252@gmail.com

On January 5, 2022, we're making some changes to our Terms of Service. These changes won't affect the way you use Google services, but they'll make it easier for you to understand what to expect from Google — and what we expect from you — as you use our services.

You can review the new terms here. At a glance, here's what this update means for you:

  • More clarity on what you can expect from Google and what we expect from you: We're providing more examples to describe the mutually respectful conduct that we expect from all our users.
  • Improved readability: While our terms remain a legal document, we've done our best to make them easier to understand, including reorganizing some topics so that they're easier to find.

If you use Family Link to manage a Google Account for someone else, please take some time to talk to them about these changes.

Thank you for using Google!

Updates to YouTube’s Terms of Service

On January 5, 2022, we're updating our Terms of Service ("Terms") to help clarify and make it easier to understand what to expect as you use the service. These changes won't affect the way you use YouTube. You can review a summary of the changes and the updated Terms here.

At a glance, this update covers:

  • More clarity on what to expect: We're providing more transparency about how we develop, improve, and update our service, including more detail about the reasons we make changes and updates, and the advanced notice we provide to you.
  • General updates for improved readability: While our Terms remain a legal document, we've done our best to make them easier to understand. This includes reorganizing some sections (such as Account Suspension and Termination) and rewording others (such as Changing this Agreement).
  • Inclusion of the Community Guidelines strikes process: Your use of YouTube has always been subject to the Community Guidelines and its strikes process, but we're now explicitly including the Community Guidelines strikes information in the Terms to increase transparency. There are no changes to how Community Guidelines strikes operate, or when a channel or content might receive a strike.

Please make sure you read the updates to the Terms. By continuing to use YouTube after this date, you are agreeing to the updated Terms. Note, if you allow your child to use YouTube Kids, or manage your child's use of YouTube through Family Link, take a moment to talk to them about these changes.

Thank you for being part of our global community!

Dear Good,

Every year, when we sit down to give thanks for the most meaningful blessings in our lives, we all wish we could say, “Thank you for peace throughout the world!”

Of course, humanity can’t yet say that. But I know that we have the tools. That’s why one of the founding missions of The Carter Center is “Waging Peace.”

And that’s why I’m so grateful for your partnership this year. When you support The Carter Center, you help fight for democracy. You help foster the rule of law and increase access to justice and government resources for all people – especially the poor and women, who too often are forgotten.

You help call out injustice wherever it exists and insist that human rights are not something that can be postponed or bargained away. And you help provide mediation and training that has proven again and again that although conflict is inevitable, violence and war are not.
People like these refugees in Mali rely on The Carter Center for intervention. Adama Barry (in green) fled her village to escape inter-tribal warfare. She didn’t want to leave, but she lived in fear.

"We couldn’t go to the market; we couldn’t visit our farms. We were stuck inside," she said. "We hope to return home one day, but for now, it is impossible."

Your support allows us to continue working as an independent observer in Mali, helping the government implement a peace agreement. And in so many other places, including Syria, Israel, and Palestine, we’ll be able to maintain efforts that keep dialogue open and provide pathways to defuse violence.
MAKE A GIFT FOR PEACE NOW »

In all these ways, you bring us closer to the day when we can honestly and joyfully sit down to Thanksgiving dinner and say, “Thank you for peace throughout the world!”

Your support makes this important work possible so please make a generous gift today. Thank you for bringing hope to those in need. We at The Carter Center wish you a wonderful Thanksgiving.

Sincerely,

Jimmy Carter

Good, Will 2022 Be the End of Guinea Worm?

Here’s what you’ve helped accomplish: 3.5 million cases of Guinea worm disease worldwide in 1986. Now only 27 in 2020, and we’re on track for even fewer in 2021!

YOUR SUPPORT HELPS END GUINEA WORM FOREVER »
Dear Good,

Here’s what you’ve helped accomplish: 3.5 million cases of Guinea worm disease worldwide in 1986. Now only 27 in 2020, and we’re on track for even fewer in 2021!

There is a real chance that 2022 is the year when we reach zero.

Your support has been critical to this work. You have helped educate hundreds of millions of people — giving them the tools to avoid parasite-infected water and carefully and humanely contain every last infection.

We are so close to the end. Vulnerable people will be free from the threat of this disease forever.

Even COVID-19 can’t slow our progress — efforts are being sustained by community volunteers who already live and work in the regions at risk. Your gift today will help them track down the last remaining cases until Guinea worm is no more.
Nigeria was once the country with the most cases of Guinea worm disease. It has not had a case since 2008! This woman in Nigeria is making her family’s water safe by using a simple cloth filter that prevents the transmission of parasites. After five years of zero cases, Nigeria was certified free of Guinea worm in 2013 by the World Health Organization. We can make this same progress everywhere with your help!
MAKE A GIFT TO PROTECT PEOPLE FROM GUINEA WORM FOREVER »

This is what we’ve been working toward for so long, and now it is so close. We need to finish the job because diseases can rebound quickly if we don’t remain vigilant.

Please send a gift to free people from disease and make 2022 the year we reach zero. Thank you so much.

Sincerely,

Jimmy Carter

P.S. It’s amazing that we are so close to eradication. Please help make it happen by supporting The Carter Center. Thank you!
